board members
Our volunteer Board of Directors typically consists of nine Edgewood residents: the Mayor or the Mayoral Appointee, a representative from the Borough Council and seven members-at-large. Vacancies on the Board are filled by appointment by the Foundation and upon application by interested residents. All residents are encouraged to apply when a vacancy occurs. Notices are included in the Edgewood Newsletter, as well as our social media networks.
Al caruso
Al has lived in Edgewood since 1997 and has been a member of the Edgewood Foundation since 2010. Al joined the Foundation to help make a difference in enhancing the experience of living in Edgewood and to help foster a sense of community among its residents. Al was initially impressed with the Newcomers Reception and Progressive Dinner when he first moved here and has been hooked ever since.
angel lehrian
Angel has been a member of the Edgewood Foundation for 14 years. She’s dedicated herself to the foundation in various roles; former secretary, Vice President and, most recently, President. Angel loves Edgewood because of the close-knit sense of community.
meghan jones
Meghan has lived in Edgewood with her cat, Olivia, since 2017. Meghan enjoys Edgewood because it is reminiscent of her hometown of Clarks Summit. She lovingly refers to her home as her Little Slice of Heaven. A Registered Nurse for nearly two decades, Meghan feels a strong sense of service and helping her community. Like Al, the annual Progressive Dinner has been impactful to Meghan, and she looks forward to participating by hosting when she is able.
Dan mooney
Dan and his wife first moved to Edgewood in 2014 and instantly fell in love with the community events, friendly neighbors, and walkability of the area. After moving away for a job in 2017, they returned to Pittsburgh in 2021 and decided that Edgewood was the perfect place to raise their young children. Learning more about the Edgewood Foundation at the Newcomers Reception prompted Dan to inquire about board positions and was pleased to be accepted in late 2023. He works at GNC’s corporate office and loves anything outdoors and woodworking.
AMY ANDREWS-HOOKS
A resident for over 20 years, Amy moved to Edgewood in 1998. Soon after, Amy and her husband Michael attended their first Progressive Dinner, where they fell in love with the neighborhood. Impressed with the work of the Edgewood Foundation, Amy began volunteering, starting on the Progressive Dinner committee in 2003, becoming a full-time board member in 2004 and progressing to Foundation President in 2008, a position she held until 2019. Amy was presented with the prestigious Limpert Award for outstanding dedication to the community in 2019. Amy returned to the Edgewood Foundation as a board member in August of 2022.
aNNa Marie caulkins
Anna Marie, her husband Alan and daughter Christina moved to Edgewood in 2003. They immediately felt a strong sense of community attending both the Newcomers Reception and Progressive Dinner. Anna Marie has made lasting and meaningful relationships in the community and loves the sense of caring everyone has for one another. Over the years, she has actively volunteered and participated in many community events. Recently retirement from caregiving and teaching has provided the opportunity to serve in a more formal role on the Edgewood Foundation to enhance the close knit community we have.
stuart cohen
Stuart is a relative newcomer to Edgewood, moving into the borough four years ago when he married his wife, Jennifer Parsons. His wife has been in Edgewood for over 20 years, but Stuart isn’t a stranger to the Eastern Suburbs as he graduated from Churchill High School of the Woodland Hills School District.
Stuart has been active in other non-profit organizations and really felt at home in Edgewood after attending his first Progressive Dinner in 2020 with Jennifer, finding the people of Edgewood to be so friendly and inviting. He also assisted the Wine and Chocolate committee in 2022. The Oktoberfest Pig Roast is another favorite event of his.
Stuart works as an Account Manager at Alen Corporation. He looks forward to meeting more residents at upcoming events and is looking forward to helping create a vibrant community.
amy hunt
A native of Edgewood, Amy Hunt recently moved back to the borough with her family. She has a resounding appreciation for the region’s historical and natural beauty and can often be found walking with their dog on the area trails, enjoying the company of friends at The Edgewood Club, or cheering on soccer players at Koenig Field. With a background in education and as the founder of SORT, a professional organization, home staging and design business, Amy especially looks forward to supporting both community initiatives and events as a new member of the Edgewood Foundation board.
aNDREA MaUe
A resident of Edgewood for over 20 years, Andrea joined the Edgewood Foundation in 2017. She enjoys helping with all of the activities and has headed up the Senior Brunch since 2018. It’s been so great being able to help keep our community vibrant! Andrea is an English teacher and happily married to Don.
natasha vandiver fuchS
A member of the Edgewood Foundation Board since 2020, Natasha aka “Nikki” loves Edgewood because it has a small-town feel, but it's central to everything. You can walk your dogs and say hi to 20 different people (including neighborhood officials and law enforcement), and later that day take a short trip into the city for dinner and a show. It's the best of both worlds!
board meetings
Meetings are regularly held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm on the street level of the Koenig Field House.
No meeting is held in July.
The foundation encourages participation from all residents and groups in the Borough of Edgewood.
Our meetings are open to the public, so feel free to stop by!
